Spain: Hot stuff! This transsexual beauty might be the next Carnival queen
Sixteen-year old Lola Rodriguez was busy training in the Canary Islands city of Las Palmas on Thursday, as she continued her dream of becoming the first-ever transsexual queen of the Carnival of Las Palmas.
Born biologically male, Rodriguez says she knew she was female since she was three or four years old. She says she is now vying for the Carnival queen crown in order to dispel prejudices about transsexuals.
The Carnival queen will be crowned on February 13. One of the most popular Carnival celebrations in Spain, about 200,000 people attend Las Palmas' main Carnival parade each year.
