Germany: "I want more money for women" - director Isabel Coixet at Berlinale
Director Isabel Coixet demanded better wages for women at a presser for the premiere of her most recent movie 'Nobody Wants the night,' as the Berlinale kicked off in Berlin on Thursday.
At the presser, lead actress Juliette Binoche told the audience that only 10 days of shooting for the film about a polar expedition took place in Norway, while the rest was filmed in Tenerife, Spain. Actress Rinko Kikuchi spoke about preparations for the movie, and how she met with an Inuit woman to learn more about the indigenous group and to get into her role.
The 65th edition of the Berlinale runs until February 15 and will show around 400 films.
