USA: 'Mariupol civilians knowingly targeted in rocket attack' - US UN official
US Under-Secretary-General Jeffrey Feltman spoke at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York on Monday. He stated that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission concluded that the rockets fired on Mariupol on Saturday "originated from territory controlled by the so-called Donetsk People's Republic" based on "crater analysis" and concluded that "the entity which fired these rockets knowingly targeted the civilian population."
He went on to emphasise that, if true, this constitutes a "violation of international humanitarian law" and that the UN council must ensure that the "the perpetrators must be held accountable and brought to justice."
