
Russia: "Ukrainian army a 'NATO legion' aimed at containing Russia" - Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian army had essentially become the 'foreign legion of NATO' which doesn’t pursue the national interests of Ukraine, but exists to restrict Russia. He made the comments in St. Petersburg, Monday during a discussion with students of the National Mineral Resources University.
Putin also discussed the necessity of prolonging the right of Ukrainian people to stay in Russia.
