India: "Obama get lost!" India's Communist Party rally against US visit
Hundreds gathered in New Delhi Saturday to protest against a strategic partnership between India and the US, after the Communist Party of India (CPI(M)) called the action on the eve of US President Barack Obama's visit to India. The student wing of the Communist Party, the Progressive Democratic Students Union, were out in large number with their initials (P.D.S.U) emblazoned across many of the banners and placards. The banners denounced both Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Obama is in India to work on climate change, defence and economic alliances. He, however, has cut his trip short and will no longer visit Agra and the Taj Mahal as he will be going to Saudi Arabia, following the death of King Abdullah.
