
India: Police rescue 200 child labourers in mass raids
Over 200 child labourers were found by police during a series of raids conducted in Bhavani Nagar, Hyderabad, Saturday morning.
Over 500 police officers were reportedly involved in the operation, which resulted in 10 people being arrested and children as young as six found in "poor, unhygienic" conditions.
The raids were conducted to target illegal financiers, with police accidentally stumbling upon the children. Police announced some of the children had untreated and potentially dangerous injuries.
