Ukraine: 'No need for peace talks, we're on the offensive' - Zakharchenko
There is no need for peace talks at present since DNR forces are on the offensive, said Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DNR/DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko during a press conference in Donetsk, Friday.
Zakharchenko said the DNR had made the mistake of attempting to negotiate with Kiev in the past and will only negotiate once "we will occupy all the territories we want."
He said, "we see no reason for peace talks. We have already made this mistake once. I think that making the same mistake again is unworthy and inappropriate."
The DNR head said his fighters were eager to go on the offensive since they had been forced to hold their positions for a long time.
