Russia: Coming soon to North Dakota? ROBOT snow plough digs in
A team of scientists in the Russian city of Perm showed off a snow plough you can use from the comfort of your own home, Wednesday. The OMI snow plough is remote-controlled via iPad, allowing users to clear snow while sitting in their living room.
Resembling a mini version of an F1 racing car, the OMI plow can remove up to 40 centimeters (16 inches) of snow and works over 8 hours. It has a top speed of about six kilometers (four miles) per hour and can operate in temperatures as low as -50 degrees Celsius (-58 degrees Fahrenheit).
The OMI plow is already in mass production with each plow costing €2,770 ($3,219).
