
France: 'Five Chechens held in France have no established links to terror' - Prosecutor
The five Chechens arrested by French police have no links to terrorism, stated a Yvon Calvet - a Beziers Prosecutor - Tuesday. Calvet emphasised that the arrests could even amount to a common crime.
The men were arrested in raids in Beziers and Saint-Jean-de-Vedas, near the Southern French city of Montpellier.
Police reportedly found a cache of explosives in their possession near the local football stadium. It is reported that the men were known to organised crime units.
