Belgium: 'Return of violence in E Ukraine not good news' - Mogherini
The return of violence in eastern Ukraine is "definitely not good news," EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said in Brussels on Monday.
Speaking before entering the Foreign Affairs Council meeting to have a "discussion on Russia", she stated that progress will not be made until the Minsk agreement is implemented.
Mogherini iterated the EU's "strong and firm" support for Ukraine but emphasised that this support was not the point of today's discussions and neither were further sanctions. Rather, she continued, talks will centre on a discussion on how to effectively utilise the "European Union's tools."
