Several buildings were damaged on Friday evening when an explosion ripped through central Odessa, allegedly caused by explosives that were planted near a window of a branch of Diamond Bank and the offices of an organisation that assists the Ukrainian military. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured in the explosion, which occurred around 9:40 p.m. local time (1940 GMT).
The precise reasons for the attack remain unknown. However, police believe the attack may have been directed at the office of the volunteer organisation "We Are the Army," which is located in the building next to the bank.
