Germany: Russian presence at Berlin Green Week Fair 'unwelcome by some'
Russia's Agricultural Minister Nikolai Fyodorov and Russian Ambassador to Germany Vladimir Grinin opened the Russian exposition at the International Green Week 2015 Fair in Berlin, Friday. The Russian agricultural minister promised, despite the sanctions, that many new investment contracts would be signed between Russian and European companies, as well as others at the Berlin fair during the next week.
Without naming any names, the Russian ambassador to Germany, Vladimir Grinin, added that some countries did not want to see the Russian presence at the fair as "the political weather at this time is very unstable". He also underlined that good relations between Russia and Germany are of great importance, not only for the two nations concerned, but also for Europe as well as the whole world.
The annual Berlin International Green Week 2015 Fair is Europe's biggest annual agriculture fair, taking place from January 16 to 25.
