
UK: Suspected arson attacks ENGULF Oxfordshire
Approximately 27 firefighters crews tackled a huge fire that destroyed council offices in South Oxfordshire, Thursday. The office houses around 400 staff. Services apparently will not be hugely affected, with contingency plans being put into practice.
The blaze which started at 03:15 GMT is believed to be a result of an arson attack. Two other buildings in a five mile radius (eight kilometres), a funeral parlour and a cottage, were also set alight at in a space of ten minutes and are believed to be related.
According to Thames Valley Police and witnesses on the scene, a vehicle transporting gas canisters ploughed into the council building. A 47-year-old local man believed to be connected to the three fires has been arrested and is currently in custody.
