France: Farage blames Western foreign policy for Paris violence
Leader of the UK Independence Party Nigel Farage said in Strasbourg Monday that Europe's "political decisions have led to much of what has happened." He was referring to the recent attack on the Paris headquarters of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in which 12 people were shot dead. He made the comments during a parliamentary session in Strasbourg.
Farage critisised Europe's foreign policy in "Afghanistan, through Iraq, through Libya and even the attempt to want to arm the rebels in Syria," and stated that "what we’ve done is to stir up very deep resentments within the Muslim community."
