France: Heavy police presence at kosher supermarket following siege
Police stood guard Saturday morning outside the kosher supermarket 'Hyper Cacher' in the Porte de Vincennes area of Paris, a day after it became the scene of an armed stand-off between Amedy Coulibaly and police when he took 19 hostages.
Coulibaly, believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting a police officer on Thursday, was killed along with four hostages during the police siege. The remaining hostages escaped unscathed. French officials say Coulibably is linked to the two brothers, Said and Cherif Kouachi, who were named as suspects in the Wednesday attack on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The brothers were shot dead by police in a separate situation.
