
France: HOSTAGE DRAMA as cops close in on Charlie Hebdo shooters
Police surrounded an industrial complex in northern France, Friday where it is believed the two suspects thought to have carried out the Charlie Hebdo shootings are holding hostages. The stand-off is taking place in Dammartin-en-Goële, near Charles-de-Gaulle Airport which has closed two runways due to the situation. The two shooters are reportedly holed up in a print works in the industrial estate.
Twelve people, including two police officers, were killed and several more critically injured when armed gunmen opened fire at Charlie Hebdo magazine's HQ in central Paris. The men, dressed in black commando outfits, entered the building and fired a number of rounds from Kalashnikov assault rifles. They fled in a stolen car following a shoot-out with police.
