Lithuania: 'Historic moment'? Lithuania has just joined the EURO
Lithuanian Finance Minister Rimantas Sadzius described a "historic moment" in Vilnius on Wednesday for the Baltic state as the country became the Eurozone's 19th member.
Lithuania's adoption of the Euro had long seemed unlikely due to high inflation, which has recently reduced under Sadzius. The country's neighbours Estonia and Latvia introduced the Euro in 2010 and 2014 respectively.
Despite Sadzius' optimism, only half of Lithuanians are believed to support the new currency.
