
Indonesia: AirAsia QZ8501 families breakdown as 40 bodies discovered in sea
Relatives and friends of passengers aboard the AirAsia flight QZ8501 broke down in tears at Juanda International Airport on Tuesday, after Indonesian rescuers confirmed they have found bodies in the sea.
The QZ8501 plane was carrying 162 passengers when it lost contact with air traffic control on December Sunday 28, while the wreckage has yet to be found. However, Indonesian rescue teams announced on Tuesday that around 40 bodies were pulled out from the sea off the coast of Borneo.
Around 21 aircraft and 30 ships have been searching for the aircraft and its passengers over a proximity of 10,000 square nautical miles.
