Anime and Manga lovers got together on Sunday in Tokyo for Japan's Comic market where individuals can offer their own amateur and self-published comic creations known as 'Dojinshi', to like-minded individuals.
The Comiket comic market, located at the Tokyo International Exhibition Centre in Ariake, Tokyo Bay attracts lots of fans dressed as anime and manga characters.
The comic market, known as 'Comiket' was established out of frustrations from the lack of diversity from commercial publications. Meikyu (Labyrinth), which was established in the mid-70s to review alternative manga, outside of the commercial sphere, also set up the event so creators and authors could have a platform to share their publications.
