
Turkey: Three dead in Cizre gun-battle
Three people died in gunfights between rival militias in the southeastern town of Cizre, Saturday. The fighting reportedly took place between militants affiliated with Turkey's Hizbullah and fighters associated with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
Gunshots could be heard ringing around the town centre, with state military vehicles seen deployed on the roads.
Members of the YDG-H, the PKK's youth branch, and fighters of the Hizbullah-affiliated Free Cause Party reportedly confronted one another with automatic weapons.
