Spain: Shop windows smashed in Barcelona protest
People smashed the windows of several shops and banks in Barcelona after a wider protest of around 1,000 people against the recent detention of a group of self-described anarchists, Saturday.
Police reported that the demonstration passed without any incident until some protesters entered the Gracia neighbourhood. No one was arrested.
Eleven alleged 'anarchists' were arrested on December 16 during 'Operation Pandora' in Barcelona, Manresa, Sabadell and Madrid. They were accused of being implicated in a 'terrorist' organisation.
