Belgium: 400,000 euro sculpture collapses in Xmas market
Police cordoned off a Christmas fair market in Mons Friday following the partial collapse of an art installation named the 'Passenger,' which was designed and erected by Belgian conceptual artist and sculptor Arne Quinze.
Cranes and contributing art installers helped to repair the damage to the art installation, which did not cause any injuries when it partially collapsed. The project for the 'Passenger' began in November, finished in early December and is part of the official inauguration of Mons as the cultural capital initiative.
