The sneaker has been gaining attention since the basketball player began producing new versions of the show with Nike, causing a feeding frenzy among the “snearker-head” crowd and prompting unrest and bouts of violence at retailers selling the item. Although no scuffles took place in Charlotte on Saturday, over a dozen police officers were deployed on site to quell any possible unrest.
