      Pakistan: Soldiers secure Peshawar school for PM's visit

      Bullet holes covered the external walls of the Army Public School in Peshawar, Wednesday where 144 children and nine staff were killed in an attack the day before. School bags, teaching equipment and prizes for outstanding teachers were seen strewn across the school grounds.

      Soldiers have secured the area ahead of a visit by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other politicians while mourners held bouquets and candles in a vigil outside the school grounds.

      At least seven armed individuals stormed the school Tuesday, and began shooting pupils and teachers before then setting off suicide bomb vests.
