USA: 'Pakistan school attack is blood-curdling, heinous act' - Ban Ki-moon
The Peshawar school attack which left 141 dead, 132 of them children, is a "blood curdling" and "heinous" act, United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday in New York. His words came as he spoke at UN headquarters.
Moon added that schools must be "safe and secure." He also said that "going to school should not have to be an act of bravery."
At least seven armed individuals stormed the school Tuesday in Peshawar, and began shooting pupils and teachers before then setting off their suicide bomb vests.
