Massachusetts Bristol County Sherriff Thomas Hodgson made a plea to Congress to fight President of the United States Barack Obama's executive action granting amnesty to millions of undocumented immigrants in Washington D.C., Wednesday.

Speaking at the Judiciary committee hearing 'The Impact on Local Communities Of The Release of Unaccompanied Alien Minors and the Need For Consultation And Notification,' Hodgson expressed his concerns about Obama "picking and choosing" what laws to enforce as well as called on Congress to secure the border.

A press conference organised by Hodgson also took place Wednesday, at which approximately 25 sheriffs from across the United States discussed their efforts to halt Obama's executive action. The sheriffs were joined by U.S. Senators Jeff Sessions of Alabama and David Vitter of Louisiana, as well as Tennessee Representative Marsha Blackburn.
