      Germany: Hundreds attend funeral of Tugce Albayrak

      Hundreds of mourners paid their final respects to Tugce Albayrak in Waechtersbach, Wednesday. She was beaten after defending two girls from harassment outside a McDonald's on the outskirts of Frankfurt, before passing away in hospital Friday.

      Friends, family and members of the local community were in attendance as well as the Hesse state Prime Minister Volker Bouffier and Turkey's ambassador to Germany.

      An 18-year-old man suspected of the attack on November 15 remains in police custody.
