Germany: FEMEN activist fined for topless Xmas church protest
A court in Cologne fined FEMEN's Josephine Witt €1,200 ($1,480) on Wednesday for charges of the disturbance of the free practice of religion.
The activist declared afterwards outside of court that despite being "disappointed" with the court's judgement, she still finds a protest against the "monopoly" of the Catholic Church "necessary."
On 25th December 2013, Witt had stormed into Cologne's cathedral whilst a priest was performing blessings as part of his mass ceremony to deliver her message.
