Mexico: "A country, not a morgue!" Thousands rally in Mexico City
Thousands of protesters gathered at the Angel of Independence in Mexico City on Monday evening as part of a rally for the 43 missing students and to call for Mexican President Pena Nieto's resignation.
Protesters held signs reading "A president, not a tyrant. A country not a morgue" and chanted "Pena out." One speaker who addressed the rally said that Nieto would never be accepted as a "part of the Ayotzinapa movement."
Forty-three students from Ayotzinapa went missing on September 26 after being detained by police in Iguala, a town in the state of Guerrero. Thousands have protested since, calling for justice and the safe return of the missing students.
