Hundreds of protesters marched from Union Station to Walmart in Washington, D.C. on Black Friday, wielding placards and banners while chanting anti-capitalist, anti-Walmart slogans.

Demonstrators are demanding Walmart raise the wage to $15 dollars (€12) an hour as well as employees receive permanent, full-time contracts. They accused the retailer of not fulfilling their promises, which include hiring from the local community and paying an adequate wage.

Walmart opened two stores for the first time in Washington, D.C. on December 4, 2013.
