USA: Watch Ferguson protesters at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
At least seven people were detained by police at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, with a New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesperson saying the detained individuals were protesting against a grand jury's decision not to indict white police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of unarmed African-American teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Six men and one woman attempted to enter the parade route a block away at 6th Avenue, before police intervened.
Also in New York on Thursday, between 50 and 60 protesters upset over the decision not to indict Wilson rallied at 33rd Street and Broadway and briefly staged a sit-in. None of the protesters were detained.
