Germany: 'All sides are wrong over sanctions' - Minister Ulyukayev
Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev stated that “all participants are wrong” when asked about the sanctions war between the EU and Russia, in Stuttgart Wednesday.
The minister added that the sanctions were causing damage to the economies of both Russia and the EU, stating that a deescalation was needed. "This is lose-to-lose game; we have to move to the win-to-win game," he said. Ulyukayev stated that Russia was committed to a productive relationship with the EU based on a free-trade agreement from “Lisbon to Vladivostok.”
The event in Stuttgart, ‘Perspectives on Economic Relations with Russia’, was organised to discuss the current and future status of economic relations between the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg and Russia, a relationship which organisers say is facing a “severe endurance test” following the European Union's imposition of sanctions against Russia.
