Russia: Lavrov calls for compromise on Iran nuclear deal
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on the six powers involved in nuclear talks with Iran to reach an agreement based on a balance of their individual interests. Lavrov made the comments at a press briefing in Moscow, Friday following talks with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal Al Saud.
Commenting on the ongoing round of talks, which is currently underway in Vienna, Lavrov reiterated Russia's position that all elements of an agreement were already on the table. Russia's foreign minister urged all parties to avoid attempts at last-minute bargaining for unrealistic gains.
The recent round of nuclear talks in the 5+1 format started Tuesday in Vienna.
