A small kitten stuck in the middle of highway A4 close to the village of Rovato in Italy's northern province of Lombardy was rescued Sunday after a man dashed across the busy road to retrieve the stranded animal.
Italy's highway police stopped traffic on the A4 highway, located close to the city of Bergamo, to enable the rescue of the kitten after being alerted by a volunteer of the "Guardie Ambeientali di Bergamo".
The kitten has already been adopted by an Italian family after a trip to get checked out at a local veterinary clinic. The family have decided to call the kitten A4, after the highway that it was rescued from.
