France: Le Pen gets patriotic at 'Made in France' convention
Marine Le Pen, president of France's National Front party, attended the 'Made in France' convention in Paris, Saturday; a patriotic exhibition selling homemade French products.
After looking at some of the items on sale, including a "I did not choose to be French, I just got lucky" t-shirt and some jam, Le Pen told press that the Made in France convention justly represented the 'patriotic passion' among French people. She went on to state that importing foreign produce led to French unemployment, and that the country's import policy was stupid because it 'improve(d) the Chinese economy'.
The third installment of Made in France brought together more than 300 exhibitors in 2014, with more than 35,000 visitors attending the exhibition, 20,000 more than its first edition in 2012.
