Brazil: See Rio's new Carnival queens SHAKE their stuff on stage
Rio de Janeiro chose its queens and kings for Carnival 2015 on Friday, with dancers showing their samba skills while sashaying across a stage at the Cidade do Samba complex.
Queens of Carnival can either be part of a samba school or a well-known local citizen. But women must have what Brazilians call "samba no pe," or the ability to dance the samba, in order to be selected as a queen.
Known as the biggest festival of its kind in the world, Carnival begins February 13, 2015 and runs until February 18. Up to two million people fill Rio's streets each day during Carnival.
