US rapper Ice-T joined thousands in a procession along New York's Fifth Avenue on Tuesday to pay respects to US military veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade. This year, the American Humane Association's float featured US Veterans and the dogs they served their tours of duty with.
Rapper Ice-T said that "it is a blessing" when veterans manage to arrive home safely, also adding that his own dog could not even smell out a "dirty sock". Veteran Jason Bos spoke about how his dog helped him through his time in service.
The American Humane Association helped reunite veterans with their dogs after the animals retired from the military.
