
China: Putin lauds Chinese APEC efforts as "absolutely praiseworthy"
Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly backed the Chinese roadmap to establish an Asia-Pacific free trade-zone at the APEC summit in Beijing, Tuesday, saying he is certain deeper Asia-Pacific integration will create long-term sustainable growth.
Putin reminded the gathering that Russia has been working towards this form of integration both within APEC and the Eurasian context, promising the Eurasian Economic Union between Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia will come into force on January 1, 2015.
