Mexico: Angry mob badly beat Acapulco police officer
A police officer was badly beaten by an angry crowd of protesters who clashed with police, as members of the CETEG teachers union and students marched over the disappearance of 43 students near the Ayotzinapa airport of Acapulco and the height of the diamond area, Monday.
Earlier, protesters threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at the police, who started to back away. Several cars were damaged and turned over.
Protests have been building over the case of the missing students after the 43 students went missing six weeks ago in Iguala. Human remains found on the banks of a river near to where the students went missing in Iguala are currently being examined in a laboratory in Austria.
