Ukraine: Donetsk ravaged by intense shelling

At least three houses were damaged in the Oktyabrskiy District of Donetsk as parts of the city contiguous to the airport were shelled on Saturday night.

The roof of a house was damaged, along with its walls and almost every pane of glass on the building’s facade was blown out or shattered in the course of shelling. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, since the majority of residents had already left the area.

The heavy bombardment of Donetsk started again four days ago and according to residents a fire exchange between Ukraine forces and local militia went on for eight hours.
