France: Remi Fraisse solidarity march hits central Paris from all angles
Thousands of pupils, students and teachers from twenty different Parisian schools took part in a protest in tribute to slain-activist Remi Fraisse and against police brutality, Thursday.
The protesters carried banners reading "Police everywhere, justice nowhere" and shouted slogans against the police. The protest erupted in different parts of the city and converged at Place de la Nation. It was organised by a group called the Movement Inter Struggles Independent (MILI).
Twenty-one year old Remi Fraisse had been killed by police while protesting against a dam construction in Sivens last week. A tear gas grenade hit him when police tried to disperse the protest.
