
Ukraine: Russian humanitarian aid convoy arrives in Donetsk
Fifty Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations trucks carrying a combined 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine Monday. In both regions, 500 tons of foodstuffs, building materials and medicines were delivered.
When the convoy arrived in Donetsk, it was given a police escort and was welcomed by Alexander Zakharchenko, the prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, and Leonid Slutsky, member of the State Duma of Russia.
Earlier, on October 31, about 100 trucks brought about 1,000 tons of similar goods to Donetsk and Lugansk.
