Ukraine: Russian doctor rescues nine "severely ill" Donetsk children
Nine severely ill children were removed from Donetsk to Moscow for treatment on Wednesday by a well-known Russian doctor and public figure.
The head of the Fair Aid fund Dr. Elizaveta Glinka, commonly referred to as 'Dr. Liza,' organised the removal of the sick children from Donetsk due to the specialist care, treatment and medication that they currently need being unavailable in the conflict-torn region.
Dr. Liza has repeatedly visited southeast Ukraine for humanitarian work, delivering medicine and medical instruments and helping remove the sick and injured from the conflict zone. In late September she took 13 critically ill children from Donetsk to Russia.
