US Army Major General Darryl A. Williams gave a press conference via videolink while under quarantine at a US military base in Vicenza on Tuesday. Williams, the commanding general of US Army Africa, and 10 soldiers under his command all recently returned from West Africa where they were responding to the Ebola outbreak.

All the soldiers are being monitored for symptoms of the virus to prevent it from spreading further. Williams said none of the soldiers had shown any signs of fever so far.

Another two groups of soldiers will be arriving from Africa on Wednesday and Saturday to be held in Vicenza. All three groups will be monitored for 21 days.
