      Germany: Watch Chinese PM give Merkel token Luban Lock

      The Luban Lock symbolises a bright future of cooperation between Germany and China, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang said in Berlin on Friday. Presenting Merkel with a Luban Lock made by students at a German-Chinese university, Li said the product represents a bright future for Chinese-German cooperation.

      Li's comments were made at at the German-Chinese Forum for economic and technological cooperation, which German Chancellor Angela Merkel also attended. Prior to Li and German Chancellor Angela Merkel's speeches, German and Chinese business representatives from the likes of Siemens and Nokia Solutions also signed a series of cooperation agreements between the two countries.

      The theme of this year's forum hosted in the Maritim Hotel by the German Ministry for Economy and Energy is 'Progress through Innovation'.

      China will be partner country for CEBIT 2015.
