Germany: Chinese students drum up support for Li Keqiang
Student supporters of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang gathered outside Bellevue Palace in Berlin, Friday, following Thursday's arrival of the Chinese delegation for a series of bilateral trade talks. The supporters waved Chinese and German flags, with one individual playing a traditional Chinese Tanggu in honour of the premier's arrival.
The premier's arrival in Berlin kick starts his three-day tour of Germany, where Li Keqiang is expected to sign up to 20 bilateral agreements with the German government. The Chinese delegation arrives as Germany's economy struggles with declining exports to China and Russia, which dropped to a record 5.8 percent in August.
Li will leave to Hamburg tomorrow for a keynote speech at the Hamburg Summit of China-Europe Forum, scheduled for 12:30 local time (10.30 GMT).
