Germany: Guardiola weighs in on Catalan independence
Former footballer Josep Guardiola was one of the guests at the 'Catalan Talk' event at the Munich Sky Lounge on Thursday evening. During the event he gave his opinion of a proposed referendum on Catalan independence, saying that it was important for Catalans to be able to decide their own future.
The 43-year-old coach for FC Bayern Munich was born in Spain's Catalonia region and can still speak the Catalan language. He was joined in the lounge by the restauranteur Roca brothers, and film producer Jaume Roures. The Vice-President of the Government of Catalonia Joana Ortega introduced the event.
