Germany: This shaved and 'booted' kitty needs a new home

Twelve-year-old Persian cat Max, shaved with just a bit of fur left on his head and paws, was waiting for his new adoptive parents at Berlin's animal shelter on Wednesday.

Max was brought to the shelter four weeks ago by his owner and arrived in a neglected state, according to shelter staff, who proceeded to shave his matted fur.

Max enjoys being outdoors, and the company of other cats and dogs.
