At least 12 people were killed and around 45 injured after two passenger trains collided just off Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh region, Wednesday.
India national railway official stated that among the 45 passengers rushed to the nearby hospitals with sustained injuries, 12 were still in critical condition. The incident happened when the Krishak Express, travelling from Varanasi to Gorakhpur, front-collided against a Barauni Express heading from Lucknow to Barauni, about seven kilometres away from Gorakhpur city.
