      Thousands of Jewish pilgrims from 20 countries came to the Ukrainian city of Uman, Cherkasy Region, for a celebration of the year 5775 in the Jewish calendar Wednesday.

      Jews adhering to the Breslov Hasidic movement spend the holiday near the grave of their spiritual leader, Rebbe Nachman, to ensure luck for the next year.

      Over 20,000 pilgrims have arrived in Ukraine since the middle of September to celebrate the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah).
